Hawaii is already a leader on climate. In 2015, the state passed a law to move to 100% renewable electricity by 2045 . In 2017, days after Trump announced that the U.S. would pull out of the Paris climate agreement, the state passed another law to uphold the agreement’s goal to limit global warming to less than 2 degrees Celsius.
